The Apollo Standard Stepped Steel is the value leader in steel iron shafts. The price, of course, is great, but don't let that fool you. This is a very playable shaft and you'll find it to be an excellent performer.

We call this one the 'poor mans' Dynamic Gold! Clubmakers love this shaft with its long 12" parallel tip that allows for versatile tip trimming, and it's available in R/S and A/L flexes.

Customer Questions
do the reqire tip trim only? or both butt and tip? thanks
You would tip trim according to the trim chart and then after installation in the head butt trim to the playing length you prefer.
Is the trim listed from the tip or the butt?
Trimming on a trim chart is always meant for the tip end.
Greetings. I'm interested in buying this golf shaft. It has an option to have a spine alignment. I had thought that was done when it's attached to the head and not done prior to this. Can you give me some information on this? Thank you.
Check our FAQs.  A line is put on the shaft to designate what we feel is the best orientation when affixing to the head. If a shaft has graphics, these may not be in the best location aesthetically, so you should consider this too.
Maybe a dumb question but, which end do you trim?
The trim chart is the amount you trim off the tip end before installing in the head. Then after installing in the head, you trim the butt end to your preferred playing length.
