Dynacraft Prophet Tour CNC Forged Irons

The Dynacraft Prophet Tour CNC irons are really a new concept in forged irons with respect to production techniques. Dynacraft invested in expensive tooling to create this set of raw forgings with the hosels “spin welded” onto the iron itself. The raw forgings start out as thicker and overweight with enough material so that they can create a traditional blade and then CNC “mill out” the entire back.

The key of course was to select the right shape, perfect blade length, correct offset, and toe radius that better golfers would find desirable. The Dynacraft Prophet Tour CNC is what they refer to as a “¾ cavity”. This is a forged iron with a slight undercut cavity that Dynacraft refers to as a stability slot. With this, they are able to create a deeper weight distribution than “traditional” forging techniques would allow. The grooves are also CNC milled to conform to USGA rules.

The result is a sharp-looking forged “blade style” iron with some game improvement features. The irons have a shorter hosel so that that weight can be used to create a lower center of gravity to help with mishits. (Hey, that happens to even better players now and again!)
