At ValueGolf.com, we offer driver heads with lofts starting at 9.5° to as high as 18°. The loft you select for your driver is largely determined by your swing speed.

A higher loft logically results in a higher ball trajectory, and is better suited to those newer to the game or those with slower swing speeds. Conversely, for seasoned players or those with faster swing speeds, a lower loft will offer you lower ball flight, but result in more accuracy. After all, you want your opening shots to count!

A player with a swing speed less than 80 mph ought to consider a loft of 12° or higher. At speeds between 80 and 100 mph, you could lower your loft to around 10.5°. And those with speeds faster than 100 mph generally should use the lowest loft available.

There are other factors to consider. The USGA allows for driver heads no larger than 460cc, which is a good size for amateurs, as it is more forgiving. (For those who couldn’t care less what the USGA says, however, we do have the ultra-forgiving Juggernaut driver heads available as well!) A smaller driver head, by contrast, might be a better choice for a skilled player looking for greater precision.

Weight is also something to keep in mind: the lighter the driver head, the greater the speed and distance of ball flight.

All of our titanium driver heads have the info mentioned above in the Technical Specifications tab for an individual driver head’s page. We also offer fairway wood, hybrid, iron, wedge, and putter heads. And don’t forget to pick up some headcovers!
