Midsize golf grips are usually 1/16 of an inch larger than the baseline standard size grips. However, some manufacturers produce midsize grips that are +1/32, +3/64, or in a few cases, larger than +1/16. Also, some manufacturers call +1/16 midsize, and others call +1/16 oversize. So if that's the size you're looking for, check out both this page and our Oversize grips page. You can find the exact thickness, along with the weight, in the Technical Specifications tab. (If you think you might need something smaller, we also carry Undersize and Standard grips.)

So why all the fuss about grip size? There are several reasons, but here are two of them. A too-small grip often results in striking the ball in the direction of your follow-through, causing it to go left (if you’re a righty) or right (if you’re a lefty). On the other hand, a grip that’s too large limits your wrist and arm movement, hampers the distance of your shot, and can cause slicing.

If you’re not sure which size grip you might want to use, a midsize grip is generally for those whose hand measures between 8¼ inches and 9¼ inches. Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the bend in your wrist to get this measurement.
