The Acer XDS Fairway Wood Heads feature progressive internal heel weighting to help the golfer square the face at impact.
These heads are designed to promote a draw enhancing ball flight. The wrap-around face construction has an ultra-thin, variable thickness that can boost ball speed and distance. Multiple lofts to choose from!
Head weights are designed to increase the MOI of the head and work in combination with today’s ultralight shafts to achieve normal swing-weights. These heads are sharp-looking, and we think you'll find are great playing too.
Is there a weight port on the bottom of the Acer XDS fairway wood?
No, there's no removable weight port on the XDS fairway heads.
What is standard length for man's 9 wood. just purchased the Acer 9 wood & graphite shaft from you.
Our clubmakers use 40 1/2" as a standard length on a men's 9 wood.
How are these compared to the Synchron II fairway heads? I have the old synchron II heads that is all grey, and I'm trying to decide which ones I want to build
Both get rave reviews from our customers. The XDS has a variable thickness face which can provide better distance, especially if you have a higher swingspeed. Some say the XDS look a little better. The XDS also are a little heavier head, which can be good if you're using a very lightweight shaft, especially if you are concerned about swingweight. The weight of the Synchron II is good for a heavier shaft. The Synchron II are less expensive so that's a plus in their favor :)
Do these heads require a ferrule?
Yes, the heads are designed to have a ferrule installed.
Do these clubs have a senior flex graphite shaft?
These are just heads on this page. They are not full golf clubs, so there is no shaft.
