The SteelFiber i125 is generally preferred by stronger players looking to maintain the overall club weight and effort it takes to swing steel shafted irons, but want to benefit from the stability of the SteelFiber and the vibration dampening characteristics of a graphite shaft. The i125 provides a low penetrating ball flight. Even the strong player can now take advantage of the reduced vibrations of a composite shaft, resulting in fewer injuries and less fatigue during the round.
With the SteelFiber i125, a graphite shaft can provide the tight dispersion a strong golfer desires with the benefits of graphite. Aerotech SteelFiber iron shafts have been put in play by many PGA Tour Pros, including Brandt Snedeker, Matt Kuchar, and others (the list grows with each passing tournament).
These shafts are butt trim only.
Aerotech SteelFiber i125 Taper Tip Iron Trim Chart:
- Great shaft
Wanted a heavy weight regular flex shaft for sand wedge, couldn't find one, so used Steelfiber 125 3 iron shaft and trimmed about 3 in. from tip to get right flex. Worked out great, graphite provides my elbows relief and 125 GM shaft is great out of sand and feel is good on chip shots too.
