Like these, but with some caveats... 0 people found this helpfulLike the balance of these heads - slightly different than the Maltby hybrids I already had. Not so sure about the faces - they are already showing some wear, it would appear. We'll have see how they do over time. The main thing you have to look at here is the lofts on these things in the lofts are a consistent 3 degrees apart. So while my Maltby long iron hybrids are pretty close to these, the short irons are pretty strong. Although I guess that's becoming a race of sorts with some manufacturers. Still, pretty significant difference from the Maltby irons I'm comparing these to. On the whole though, I like these. And am in the process of auditioning them as a complete replacement for my irons. Still on the fence, but if you're building yourself, it's a pretty cost effective experiment.

Overdelivered 1 people found this helpfulDecided to try out the 6, 7, 8 to see if I liked them better than my irons. The reviews looked good, but still wasn't sure what to expect, since they're obviously TM Burner clones, and those don't even come in those lofts IIRC. And the lofts in the shorter irons appear to be significantly stronger than the iron equivalents unlike a number of other hybrid substitutes. So far, definitely easier to hit than the corresponding irons. Using Maltby Pro MPF graphite shafts shafts. I did order a 4, 9, PW as well. Not sure about the higher lofts - want to see how the gaps look given how they vary from the norms. the longer iron replacements are the same lofts as my Maltby hybrids so I ordered the 4 to do a comparison and see how they balance out distance-wise. If they outperform the GW hybrids I might replace those with this model as well. But the jury's still out on everything but the first 3 mentioned.
